This homemade salt scrub recipe made with Epsom salts and coconut oil gently exfoliates while leaving your skin feeling soft and moisturized. Pina Colada Salt Scrub doubles as homemade bath salts — simply add a cupful to running bath water for a Pina Colada scented soak.
If you like Pina Coladas (and gettin’ caught in the rain), this homemade Pina Colada Salt Scrub and Bath Soak is for you! Treat yourself to an at-home spa treatment that will make you feel like you’re relaxing on a tropical island.
I love using Epsom Salts as a body scrub because they are an all natural exfoliant that helps treat dry skin. Epsom Salts feel soft as you rub them into your skin, so you never have to worry about them being scratchy or abrasive.
Coconut Oil is one of the best oils for hydrating skin. I use Fractionated Coconut Oil as a moisturizer all by itself, and I really enjoy adding it into a homemade body scrub recipe like this one. Ever since I found this Pina Colada fragrance oil on Amazon, I have been making Pina Colada scented bath salts, body scrubs, and bath bombs. They all make me wish I was sitting on a tropical beach drinking a real Pina Colada!
I’ll share the Pina Colada bath bomb recipe with you really soon, so be sure to subscribe to my weekly newsletter over on the right sidebar, or follow me on social media so you don’t miss out.
You don’t NEED to add them, but I just could not resist adding a few adorable mini pineapple sprinkles on top for decoration. They are so cute! I found the Wilton yellow pineapple sugar sprinkles at Michaels. These little pineapples are made of sugar, so they completely dissolve in water. If you can’t find the pineapple sprinkles, you can either leave them out OR use Wilton yellow Jimmies sugar sprinkles instead.
I had cute little Wide Mouth Half Pint Ball jars on hand. Each one holds about a cup of Pina Colada Bath Salts and Body Scrub, which I think it a nice size for gifting. The recipe easily doubles and triples so you can make enough bath salts and body scrub to fill any size jars.
Pina Colada Bath Salts and Body Scrub makes a great homemade gift idea for Moms, sisters, and friends. Everyone deserves to treat themselves to an at-home spa treatment, right? I made Free Printable Pina Colada Bath Salts and Body Scrub Labels. They can be printed as sticker labels on Avery 2-inch Round Labels (#22807)
Keep in mind if you are using the Pina Colada bath salts and scrub in the bathtub or shower, that the Coconut Oil can cause the bottom of the tub or shower to become slippery. I like to give my tub/shower an extra rinse when I am finished to wash away any coconut oil residue.
Minus the optional yellow pineapple sprinkles, these bath salts are totally dye-free. I know it can be hard to find homemade bath salts and scrubs that you can make without any food coloring and dyes, so I wanted to put this one out there.

For anyone who is curious what this salt scrub recipe would look like tinted yellow, I made another batch of Pina Colada Bath Salts and Body Scrub with a couple drops of yellow soap colorant. The hint of color turns out really pretty.
