Beef and Bean Slow Cooker Chili
We are gearing up for the big game by sharing some of our favorite game day food ideas with you! It’s cold outside, so we will be watching the game from the warm comfort of our couch. This slow cooker chili recipe is an easy way to feed the fans. It easily doubles (or triples) to make more chili, as long as your slow cooker is big enough to hold all the ingredients.
I got my game day football party supplies from Oriental Trading. The Football Chili Paper Bowls (pictured above) are exactly what I needed to serve slow cooker chili. I love the green football field pattern with the white yardage markings. These bowls are super cute! I also picked up green plastic spoons, paper napkins and a brown football utensil caddy (pictured below.)
Slow cooker chili is easy to make, plus I can just keep the slow cooker on Low so the chili stays warm all day long. I plan to serve the chili buffet style along with toppings like shredded cheese and sour cream. Tortilla chips and salsa are my go-to sides whenever we eat chili.
This beef and bean chili recipe has lots of spices in it for lots of good flavors that get even better as they simmer together in the Crock Pot! My kids don’t like for chili to be spicy hot, so I go easy on the chili powder. My husband loves spicy hot, so he adds heat to his bowl of chili with hot pepper sauce.
