For some reason, shopping for my dad’s birthday is always hard. I know the things he likes – but most of them are way out of the price range (sorry, no new F-150 for you this year, Dad) or are too hard to buy without spoiling the surprise (how can you find out if shoes fit without him trying them on?).
Books are a great idea that is more in my birthday present price range, but I run into the same problem I have when I think about buying him a new pair of shoes — how can I find out what book he wants without asking and spoiling the surprise?
I know that most people love to get gift cards so they can pick what they want to buy. (I’m one of those people!) But, since it’s for my dad, I want to get him something that I have picked out just for him.
Why does shopping for my dad have to be so hard?
