Based on how well the Z Mei products worked and knowing they were made out of high quality botanical ingredients, I was expecting them to cost a fortune. I was truly surprised when I visited the Z Mei website and saw that they are actually priced very modestly! You can purchase products separately or you can create your own product bundles and save money.
Here are my brief thoughts about each of the Z Mei products I have tried on my hair and skin:
The Purifying Facial Cleanser was foamy, soft and gentle on my skin. It removed my makeup and didn’t leave my skin feeling tight and dry. Its plant-derived formula creates a soft smell like oranges and cream.
I like to apply the Balancing Toner in refreshing spritzes after washing my face morning and night. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic as it keeps your skin moist and prepares it for the next step. I noticed that the bit of moisture it added to my face helped my moisturizer spread and absorb easily into my skin.
Morning moisture comes in the form of the anti-aging Replenishing Daily Moisturizer; Evening is for the Regenerating Night Treatment. A small dab of either of these goes a long way. I could tell that these products helped hydrate my skin so it felt smooth and felt firmer, plus reduced the appearance of fine lines. They are both soy based formulas.
The Perfecting Eye Cream is applied after the moisturizing step. I could tell this really helped firm up the skin in my eye areas and made it look smoother.
I used the Exfoliating Scrub a couple of times per week to remove dead skin cells and refresh the top layers of skin. It was a gentle scrub and didn’t scratch my skin with abrasive particles.
The Retoning Hand & Body Moisture Therapy was definitely effective at hydrating and toning my skin. I really liked how the product worked; but, I didn’t like the fragrance – it was sort of a medicinal type of smell. Same thing goes for the Intensive Repair Therapy For Hands. It works well, doesn’t appeal to my sense of smell.
Last but not least, two products I was surprised by how much I came to love: Nourishing & Revitalizing Shampoo and Hair Repair & Strengthening Conditioner. I am usually loyal to salon products, so I wasn’t expecting to see much of a difference in my hair when I used the Z Mei shampoo and conditioner, but I did! Many conventional hair products contain ingredients that coat your hair. The Z Mei shampoo and conditioner do not contain any waxes or ingredients that leave residue on your hair. This means your hair can actually breathe without being coated in product – which helps hair to be healthy. My hair actually looks and feels better now that I have been using Z Mei shampoo and conditioner.
