It’s hard to believe the new school year is already back in full swing. Busy mornings go by in a blur as I get the kids up, dressed and out the door. All my boys make sure to ask if I have packed a good lunch for them to eat that day.
I know they look forward to lunchtime at school. I’m pretty sure they are starving by that time. I’ve been mixing things up at lunch by making their favorite sandwiches into sliders. The Turkey Tom Slider Sandwiches are a hit!
My kids love when I send Turkey Tom Slider Sandwiches in their school lunch. They also ask me to make these sliders for their after school snack. Best Foods Mayonnaise at Smith’s (Kroger), is perfect for making tasty slider sandwiches.

I stocked up on Best Foods Mayonnaise squeeze bottles to help me make school lunches all year long. The squeeze bottles are so convenient. I can add mayonnaise to sandwiches without making a mess. They also save space in my refrigerator door.
Besides the great flavor, I love that Best Foods products are made with cage-free eggs.
Your child’s favorite sandwich will be even better when you make it with Best Foods Mayonnaise. What lunch or snack ideas would be a good fit for Best Foods at your house?
If your kids like turkey sandwiches, give our Turkey Tom Slider Sandwich recipe a try. It’s currently the #1 requested thing my kids ask me to put in their school lunch.
These slider sandwiches are one of the only ways my 11-year-old will eat a fresh tomato and lettuce. It may even be the only way I have found so far. That’s a big win in my book!

Turkey Tom Slider Sandwiches
Ingredients:
- Best Foods Mayonnaise
- Dinner Rolls (one roll per slider)
- Sliced Cheddar Cheese (one slice per slider)
- Sliced Tomatoes (1-2 slices per slider)
- Leaf Lettuce (1 leaf per slider)
How To Put It Together:
- Slice the roll in half and add a squeeze of Best Foods Mayo to the top and bottom halves.
- Stack your slider! Layer the ingredients in any order you want. I usually start with the bottom half of the roll and add cheese, lettuce, turkey, tomato, and then top it with the other half of the roll.
I do my back-to-school grocery shopping at Smith’s because they have low prices on the products I like to buy for my family. Where do you like to shop?

Sliders have become very popular in our house as well. They are great for dinner at night but then for leftover lunches the rest of the week. Thanks for sharing a great recipe. #HomeMattersParty

These look yummy. I was going to make my son a turkey sandwich for lunch this morning, he insisted he had to buy lunch today… because we were out of mayo and tomato! Guess that’s what happens when mom is out of town. Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
