Tersano lotus® Home Cleaning System (review)

Last week, I heard a news broadcast talking about a deadly bacteria outbreak in the United States related to a certain produce item sold at grocery stores in multiple states. The news really got me to thinking about the fruits and vegetables I buy at the store and how much I don’t know about them: where they have been, who has touched them, what bacteria and germs they may carry, and all sorts of other worrisome thoughts. My lotus® system is pictured below – the spray bottle and green microfiber cloth to help me clean my household surfaces and the bowl as it cleanses a big bunch of grapes for my children to eat.  All I have to do is fill the spray bottle or bowl with water, set it on the base unit and turn it on.  Once the water in the spray bottle is ready to use and/or once the items in the bowl are sanitized, the screen will read “100%.”

How The lotus® Home Cleaning System Works:

The lotus® adds an extra oxygen atom to ordinary tap water, creating a natural sanitizer. Basically, that means that this technology turns water into “Super Water,” giving it the ability to kill bacteria and viruses, and neutralize pesticides.

What I have learned from my experiences with the lotus®:

You never have to buy another chemical cleaner again. EVER. The lotus® Home Cleaning System allows you to clean and sanitize with water, which is the HEALTHY, ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY, and ECONOMICAL way. This system replaces all of your chemical cleaners, stain removers, deodorizers and more. You’ll only need to replace the filter every 90 uses or as indicated by your lotus®.

The lotus® base has an indicator screen on it that lets you know when the process is complete. It takes about 2 minutes for the water in the cleaning bottle to become supercharged. It takes anywhere from 4 to 8 minutes for food items in the multi-purpose bowl to be processed, depending on how many contaminants are found on the items. An added bonus is that produce can last up to 4 times longer when you clean them with the lotus®.

There is a difference in cleaning and sanitizing with the water in the spray bottle.  You have limited time to sanitize with supercharged ozone water. The water in the spray bottle can sanitize for 15 minutes. There is a timer on the lotus® that counts it down for you and lets you know when time is almost up. The water can be used to clean for the remaining 45 minutes before it reverts back to ordinary tap water.

I found the lotus® Home Cleaning System very easy to set up and use. The unit does take up some of my countertop space, but the lotus® base’s slim design minimalizes the amount.
