I could not tell you how many hours I spent playing The Game of Life growing up. I have so many memories of my best friend coming over after school and spending part of the afternoon playing LIFE. We did this all the way through high school graduation! Of course, it has been years and years since those days. But when I got a review copy of this Hasbro classic board game, she was the first person I called (actually texted a photo) and asked if she wanted to come over and play! And she did want to come over and play (I knew she would!), but we live 1500 miles apart.
Then a really cool thing happened. I decided it was time to introduce The Game of Life to my oldest 2 kids. They are finally old enough to read and play board games without my help. We had such a fun time playing LIFE! I had forgotten the joy of putting the little pink and blue pegs in the little cars and going around the board trying to land on all the good stuff to make money.
The Game of Life has actually been revamped a little bit – but you’ll still recognize this classic game. You still get to choose your life’s path: career vs college and more. One of the main differences is that the spinner is now attached to the board. I remember playing the older version and the spinner was a little bit of a hassle to set up. So Hasbro did a great thing by improving the spinner so the game is easy to open up and get started.
If you don’t already have The Game of Life in your family board game collection, I highly recommend it. The game is recommended for ages 8 and up and is designed for 2-4 players. Perfect for your Hasbro Family Game Night!
Where will your choices take you? You made it through high school, so now what’s next? Go to college or start a career – it’s your choice. Think the family life is for you? Take that path and see how many kids you’ll have! Will you venture down the risky road where fortunes can be won…and lost? Do whatever it takes to retire in style with the most wealth at the end of the game. Spin the wheel of fate and take a drive along the twisting roads families have enjoyed for more than 50 years! Do good deeds as you go through the game to earn Life Tiles and more money down the road!
Where to Buy:
The Game of Life is available at nationwide retailers including Walmart, Target, Kmart, Toys R Us and Amazon.

I have a Game of Life with cogs that connect underneath the board. I can’t get it to work. Any ideas?

I agree that the spinner on the board is much better!
As far as the classics go – I am still a sucker for a good ole game of Clue!

We just started having game night in our family, so we don’t have many to choose from. Right now our favorites are Clue and Payday.
