We recently got the Yvolution Y Glider XL three wheel scooter. My 6-year-old was able to customize their glider scooter with the colorful snap-in wheel inserts (included.) He decided to keep the black deck, although the red Y Glider XL comes with a yellow deck option.
My son is fairly new to scooting, so the Y Glider XL is perfect for learners like him. I really like that there is an easy-to-use brake on the back deck of the scooter. I always worry about the kids getting out of control going down hills, but the brake helps him slow down whenever he needs control. All kids have to do to slow down is to press on the rear safety brake with their foot.
I adjusted the handlebars to the longest length, which should suit him for the next couple years. The scooter’s handlebars are simple to adjust up or down with a push button mechanism. I put the Learn-To-Steer adjustment on the easiest one to help my son get started. As he gets more confident in steering the scooter, I can change the Learn-To-Steer adjustment as needed.
He looks forward to lots of hours of scooting around our neighborhood and riding to and from school on the Yvolution Y Glider XL scooter.

I LOVE that this scooter is designed to develop the balance, coordination and motor skills of kids. My 4 1/2 year old daughter didn’t start walking until she was 2 1/2 years old because of low muscle tone and other gross motor and balance setbacks. This scooter would really help her strength, balance and gross motor planning / skills.
