Mom Always Finds Out received a review copy of the Time For Kids’ Big Book of Where in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own. This blog post may contain affiliate links.
One of my favorite sights to see is my children reading books. It is so important to keep them reading while school is out for the summer. My 9-year-old son loves to read, but often has a hard time finding books that capture his interest. I heard about the latest addition to the TIME For Kids “Big Book” series, called Big Book of Where, and knew it sounded like something he would love! He is always asking me questions about all sorts of subjects. I am glad he thinks I am so smart, but I really don’t know everything. This book is right up his alley. Not only is he reading, he is learning about all sorts of subjects.
Time Home Entertainment Inc. and the editors of TIME For Kids created this 192-page book full of answers to the questions that kids commonly ask about the world around them, but adults can rarely answer. The book is perfect for kids 8 to 12 years old. It’s just my opinion, but it seems like boys this age love non-fiction and fact books – my theory holds true with the Big Book of Where.
Have you ever wondered where electricity comes from? Or where you can find the most poisonous snake? Kids can find the answers to these questions and many more thing that they may never have thought to ask.
I love that my son reads this book and enjoys dazzling me with his newfound knowledge. It’s actually pretty interesting to find out these things…for him and for me!
About what’s inside:
The book has 10 informative chapters including The Oceans and Space. Kids will learn surprising facts about different customs, sports, history, and animals from around the world. Colorful, easy-to-read maps, spectacular, eye-popping photos and clear, engaging diagrams make the book come to life and help answer questions such as:
- Where is the tallest mountain?
- Where did the Olympics begin?
- Where is the Petrified Forest?
- Where are diamonds found?
- Where was the hamburger invented?
- Where does spam go after you delete it?
- And much more!
