Cool weather means Hot Styles at Umi Children’s Shoes!

The leaves aren’t the only thing that’s falling around here lately…temperatures are starting to take a big dip as we head into Fall and Winter. It’s time to put away the sandals and find footwear that keeps feet toasty and warm. Some of the hottest children’s shoe styles of the season are at Umi Shoes.

My boys and I look forward to shopping Umi’s online selection for Little Boys. I don’t know if your kids are particular about their clothes and shoes, but mine always have an opinion – even my three-year-old! A few weeks ago, I let him and his big brother show me which Umi Shoes they wanted to wear this season.

I have to hand it to him, my youngest picked out what I think is my personal favorite pair of Umi Shoes we have EVER owned – and that is saying a lot! Over the years, we have had the chance to wear all sorts of Umi Shoes from sandals to dress shoes, and had great experiences with them all. But these Glenn boots really hit it out of the ballpark. They look adorable on my kid (if I do say so myself!) and have an all-around great design. My son can put these on by himself (the velcro closure really helps open up the boot so he can get his foot inside). The boots are easy for him to run around and play in, plus the leather upper and nice soles should be really durable for fall/winter weather conditions.

He is so proud of these boots. It’s not quite boot-wearing weather just yet, but that does not stop him from wearing these boots with his summer shorts. He’s trying to break all sorts of preschool fashion boundaries. He’s even worn them with his swimsuit to the pool! I’m not saying that’s a great idea, I’m just saying he really, really, really thinks he is hot stuff in these boots! I would not hesitate to buy the Glenn boots again. They are stylish and comfy fall/winter footwear for little kids.

Now that I have gushed over the boots…let me tell you about these super stylin’ little hikers. My 4 (almost 5) year-old has been wearing these around town. I love the Green/Multi color option because it matches so well with all of his autumn outfits. Once again, another sturdy, well-constructed pair of boys shoes that my child can put on and off all by himself. (Independence is a big deal at our house. And it’s so nice for Mom when the kids can finally help dress themselves.) 

The Oleson B is water-resistant (Umi-Tex) and has durable soles for all the running around and climbing little boys like to do. I really like the outdoorsy look of these shoes – to me, they are almost like a hiking boot without the high top.
