Fun Valentine’s Day Breakfast Ideas For Kids (Mostly Healthy!)

February 10, 2012 by Nicole

Valentine’s Day breakfast can become a fun festival of pink, red and hearts that are sure to get your little ones excited for the most important meal of the day. All you need are a few well-placed strawberries along with the assistance of a heart-shaped cookie cutter – and the sky is the limit! Need inspiration? Check out this roundup of Valentine’s Day breakfast ideas for kids (bonus: they are mostly healthy recipes!).

Turn regular white milk pink in seconds with the help of store-bought strawberry syrup or try this simple recipe for Homemade Strawberry Milk from The Kitchn.

Did someone say Strawberry Nutella Poptarts? The Novice Chef shares her recipe along with easy to follow directions and lots of great pictures.

A heart shaped serving plate makes cut up mixed fruit look perfectly delicious for little hands to pick up. If you don’t have a heart shaped plate, that’s okay – just outline a heart shape with the fruit on a regular plate as best you can. Kids will still notice!

I love that these Heart Shaped Pancakes are made with whole wheat and sweetened with honey! Plus, the strawberry sauce is super easy to whip up from fresh or frozen strawberries with a little lemon juice and maple syrup.

What are you planning to serve for breakfast on Valentine’s Day?
