One thing I recently learned is that a gift basket doesn’t necessarily have to be given in an actual basket. Lots of different containers can be used from large jars to a canvas shopping bag. I decided to create a DIY Healthy Moms Gift Basket using a refillable water bottle to hold some of my personal favorite health and wellness essentials. The neat thing is that the water bottle goes along with the theme of the gift — everyone needs to drink plenty of water to support their health.
When I go shopping for my friend, I like to pretend that I’m shopping for myself. If I end up with a gift that I want to keep, I know I have made the right choices! I hope she will be excited to receive all the useful little items I put together for her. First on the list is an Vitamin C supplement I am new to using myself: Ester-C. You can find this in the vitamin aisle at Walmart.
Ester-C is a unique and gentle form of Vitamin C designed to stay in your white blood cells for 24 hours to provide immune support. And taking a daily dose of Ester-C is an easy way to do that!
I continued to fill the water bottle with my other daily health routine must-haves like: lip balm, hand sanitizer, saline nasal spray, a pill container and a sleep mask. Lip balm keeps me from getting chapped lips. Hand sanitizer is pretty self-explanatory – you can never have too much of that. Saline nasal spray helps keep my sinuses clear and moisturized, especially important now that I live in a dry climate. I don’t use a sleep mask, but it’s a cute reminder to my mom friends that they need to rest. Adequate sleep is an important part of a healthy lifestyle.
Let me explain the pill container (the colorful tube-shaped item in the photo above). I used to think they were just for old people who forgot to take their medications. Then, I got one to organize my daily supplements for travel and have been using it ever since! It’s a handy little way to store my pills and keep them in my purse.
I currently take the Ester-C tablets, and recently found out that there are Ester-C berry-flavored gummies! I’ll have to give those a try next time. Which ones do you prefer?
Do you take a Vitamin C supplement? What are your healthy essentials? Are you looking for an easy way to support your immune system? Let me know in the comments.

Vitamin C has always been my husband’s favorite supplement, too. He found my Ester-C bottle and has started taking them. Guess I should have made a gift basket for HIM. 🙂

I love the concept of using an unorthodox “basket” for your guest’s goodies! #client

This is a awesome quick gift that is a perfect gift for anybody. I love the pill organizers I use one for my vitamins and pills as well but I also have one for my really small beads in my desk.

I do not use a Vitamin C Supplement, but this Ester C looks like a very good one to take right now in the winter when so much cold and flu is going around. I like your gift basket, and think the water bottle is very good with the sanitizer. So far, I have not gotten sick!

How clever! This is a great idea. I’m always losing all my stuff in my purse.
