Find out how many toxins are in your tap water? Soma Carafe & Filter Review

May 14, 2014 by Nicole

I just did something I wish I had not done. I entered my city into the How 100 Cities Rank For Tap Water Quality and found out that my city ranks 80th out of 100 AND 24 chemicals are lurking in my tap water. That’s pretty low quality. I’ll never be able to drink from the tap again now that I know what is coming out. Enter your city and let me know, what is your city’s rank?

So I guess this means if you stop by my house and I offer a glass of water, you should probably make sure that I used my Soma water filter first! I recently received a Soma carafe and water filter for review. We have been using it a couple weeks now to filter all of our drinking water.

soma water carafe

The Soma shatter-resistant glass water carafe has a beautiful hourglass-like design. I think it looks so nice on my counter or in the refrigerator. Soma’s unique filters are made from all-natural materials (including coconut shells and silk) so they are BPA-free and completely biodegradable.

I was surprised at how quickly the Soma water filter can purify water. Other pitcher filters I have used in the past take up to several minutes to filter a single cup of water. The Soma water carafe filters water in seconds. I can have the 48 oz. carafe full and ready to pour in less than five minutes – it seems to take about 2 minutes on average for me.

And the taste test? My Soma filtered water tastes fresh and pure.

Soma is an easy way to go green at home. You can stop buying plastic water bottles and fill your reusable water bottles with Soma-filtered water instead.

Convenient Auto-Delivery

One Soma water filter can filter 40 gallons of water, which is about 2 months’ worth. The Fresh Filter program ships out a new filter for your carafe every 60 days. A filter is $12.99 with free shipping.

Are you ready to drink pure water? Sign up for a Soma carafe and water filter plan.

They donate to charity’s if you buy a pitcher which is nice to keep the clean water better. I also like the style of the pitcher.

I learned that the idea came one night when the inventor didn’t want to put a cheap plastic water filter on a table with guests so he put the filtered water into a wine carafe. Then the water spilled and he thought why isn’t there a better way to have filtered water at the table. Cool! Thanks!!
