Is it possible to become addicted to using a laminating machine? I have been laminating all sorts of things with my Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator and find myself going around the house thinking, What else can I laminate today? It’s so fun to use and great for all sorts of back to school project ideas.
This laminator is so simple to set up. Talk about User-Friendly. It doesn’t take much besides plugging it in and turning on the power switch. The machine takes about 5 minutes to heat up for use.
I like that the Saturn2 95 laminator is safe to use around children and pets because it has HeatGuard™ Technology; that means all the heat is kept inside the double-insulated walls. The laminator always feels comfortable to the touch. I know because I touched it all over just to be sure!
I love the easy-to-use laminator pouches. All I have to do is place the material I want to laminate in between the 2 layers of the pouch and it is ready to insert into the machine. There are clearly marked lines to indicate where to line up your pouch so it goes in perfectly lined up. It takes about a minute for a letter-sized pouch to go through the laminating process. I was really impressed with the look of the finished product – vibrant colors and a smooth, flat surface.

The Saturn2 95 also features:
- Advanced Temperature Control – Hot and cold laminating capabilities ensure smooth results every time.
- Jam Release Lever – Allows easy removal or recentering of stalled laminator pouches.
Perfect For “Everything My Kids Make” is a Keepsake Moms (Like Me!)
I’m a mom who tends to keep just about every one of my kids’ writing and drawing projects, and any number of other special things (Mother’s Day cards, awards). The Fellowes laminator works like a dream to keep those keepsakes in pristine condition and ready to store in my “Mommy Archives Box.”
There are lots of back to school projects and ideas you can make with a laminator including flash cards, backpack tags and reusable/wipe off worksheets. I’m making reusable multiplication worksheets for my third grader to practice math skills at home and Sight Word cards for my Kindergartener. I have already laminated our school district’s 2012-13 calendar so it won’t be in tatters after hanging on the refrigerator for months on end.
I found out that you can even laminate favorite photographs with conveniently-sized (about 4×6) photo pouches. The smaller (4×6) sized pouch was also perfect for laminating all of my recipe cards. Menu-planning moms can laminate Grocery Lists and creative Meal Planners.
Our Kid-Friendly Adventures in Laminating
My children and I used the Fellowes Laminator and the Letter-Size Laminating Pouches to make our own I Spy sheets from magazine cut-outs. They are great for travel and quiet time. We also laminated my toddler’s animal flash cards so they wouldn’t get torn up when he plays with them. I also created a chore chart and educational worksheets to help the kids get back into the swing of things when school starts.
I think of new ways to use my laminator every day – and I’m sure I will get a lot of use out of it from now on. Whether it’s helping me keep my keepsakes safe or making professional-looking crafts, the Fellows Saturn2 95 laminator is a home/office tool this Mom loves!
