If you’ve entered giveaways here at Mom Always Finds Out anytime this past month, you have been given the option to leave a blog post comment letting me know your idea of the perfect Mother’s Day gift. I read each and every one of your responses, and wanted to put the information to good use.
Here is a list of What Moms Really Want For Mother’s Day…according to you, my mom readers! Be sure to share this with your family members who are probably secretly scrambling around trying to come up with the perfect thing to give you for Mother’s Day. They will be relieved to find out that what most moms really want is to be with them!
That’s right, the Number One thing Mom Always Finds Out mom readers say they really want for Mother’s Day is to spend time with their family. Quality time doing activities such as: family picnics, camping trips, and nature walks.
A very close Second Place on the What Moms Really Want For Mother’s Day list is a Spa Day. Some moms didn’t even ask for the entire day, they’d be happy with a little bit of pampering in the form of a pedicure, massage, or new hair do.
I think all the moms who responded to this question would agree that a perfect Mother’s Day would involve:
-
No Laundry
-
No Cooking
-
No Cleaning
and a dash of Peace and Quiet thrown in for good measure.
Note to the Husbands and Kids Who Are Reading This: You CAN make this happen for your Mom! Just give it a try, I promise you what she really wants is: No Responsibility For Anyone Else’s Needs But Her Own…for just a few hours. You can (probably) survive a few hours without Mom “being Mom,” right?
Even though Mom does not want to cook on Mother’s Day, she does want to eat a nice meal (or two or three). Several moms suggested a homemade Breakfast in Bed.
**Please Note That Moms Also Said They Would Like To Sleep In On Mother’s Day – so plan to serve breakfast in bed accordingly. Reminder: DO NOT WAKE YOUR MOM UP JUST SO SHE CAN EAT BREAKFAST IN BED. Wait for her eyes to open on their own, she’ll be much happier that way. Trust me.
Other things Moms said they really like to get for Mother’s Day include:
- Flowers
- Homemade Cards and Gifts
- Jewelry
- Chocolate
- An hour to herself
See? Moms really aren’t too demanding when it comes to Mother’s Day gifts. And like I said at the beginning, the majority of moms say the PERFECT gift is spending time with the ones they love. And isn’t that what Mother’s Day is really all about, anyway? Taking the time to be with our mothers is one of the best ways we can show them how much they mean to us.
I’d like to say a special thank you to all the Mom Always Finds Out readers who responded to my question, I appreciate all the thoughtful comments and hope you get what you really want this Mother’s Day!
