Giving a baby a bath can seem like a scary, complicated task, especially with newborns. I know I was always nervous at my baby’s bath time. Babies are so small and slippery when wet! It takes practice, but eventually you will feel more comfortable giving baths. Make bath time easier for yourself by keeping everything you need within reach. Use the following Baby Bath Checklist as a guide to help you gather the essential items ahead of time.
Baby Bath Checklist:
Baby tub. Once a newborn’s umbilical stump has fallen off, they can take tub baths. A small baby tub is much easier to use than the full-size bathtub.
Warm water. A comfortably warm baby bath temp is around 90 degrees F. Test the water with the inside of your wrist to make sure it feels warm, but not hot. You can also use a baby bath thermometer to check the temperature.
Washcloth and Towel. Use a soft washcloth to gently wipe baby’s skin clean and a soft towel to pat baby’s skin dry. I like to use hooded baby towels.
Clean Diaper and Clothes. Have baby’s clean diaper and clothes ready to put on once they are dried off from their bath.
Soft blanket or changing pad. Lay out a blanket or pad so baby can be comfortable while you undress/dress them at bathtime.
Baby Bath Products. Use baby shampoo, baby wash and baby lotion that is formulated to be gentle on baby’s delicate skin. Natural baby bath products like Baby Mantra are a nice choice because they use pure and natural ingredients.
Baby Mantra all natural baby products are made with ingredients to nourish baby’s skin. Sunflower Seed, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, Jojoba, Apricot, Coconut, Grapeseed and Lavender prevent and protect against baby dry skin. Avocado Oil, Aloe, Wheat Germ and Mango Butter can relieve dryness and itchiness due to eczema.
All Baby Mantra products are natural, dye-free, gluten-free and allergy-tested.
Baby Mantra products can be used on babies, children and adults with sensitive skin. I used their bath products on my youngest children. They especially love to take bubble baths, and it is next to impossible for me to find natural bubble bath. The 3-in-1 Bubble Bath, Shampoo and Wash is our favorite Baby Mantra product. I like to run a nice warm bath and use the 3-in-1 product to make lots of bubbles. It is also convenient for me to use one product to wash their hair and body.
As we head into the cold, dry months, I will need to add a lotion to my children’s after-bath routine. We like that the Calming Baby Lotion is not greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. I’m also a fan of the convenient pump dispenser.
My kids can develop really dry, itchy skin and eczema patches. The Calming Massage Oil is a great way for everyone to add extra moisture to their skin. It is made with ultra-nourishing ingredients like Apricot oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avacado Oil, Soy Bean Oil and Orange Peel Oil. Use it as part of your baby’s bedtime routine to protect them against dry skin.
Newborn Shampoo & Body Wash is a 2-in-1 bathtime essential for babies. Moms can use this foam-free formula on baby’s hair and body. I love double duty products, and this product also comes in a handy pump dispenser bottle.
Combing your little one’s hair is lots easier when there aren’t any tangles. After shampooing, use the De-tangling Conditioner with soothing aloe and witch hazel to help ease out the tangles.
WHERE TO BUY:
Baby Mantra products are available at nationwide retailers including select Walgreens, Duane Reade, BabiesRUs.com and Amazon.com

Great! This is probably one of the reasons why bath stuff is always a perfect gift for a baby shower. I must suggest to the moms out there that they should get natural products for their babies. This is for their safety because the baby has a very sensitive skin.
