I hope you don’t mind, but I’d like to make a suggestion to you for your next giveaway. This raffelcopter form is so long that it is terribly slow in loading entries. When you have a form that is this long it already eats up a lot of time out of the day to do all the entries, but then when the form itself is slow, it makes the whole process frustrating instead of fun. Some bloggers will group fb pages together on another page to like or have a seperate raffelcopter form for fb likes that they will add into the main form entries at the end, but this is really not fun when there are so many entries and your chances of winning after spending literally almost an hour doing all the entries is really very low anyway in reality. If you are truly checking all the entries are valid, it will also take forever to check in with every blog that has to check that that person is indeed following and get back to you. Big prizes are fun, but when it becomes work and clogs up your newsfeed because you’ve literally had to like dozens of facebook/twitter pages you really don’t want to follow just for an entry, does that really make your followers happy? They lose your posts in the long list of pages they aren’t really interested in, and yes, they can hide them, but how much more time does that involve after you’ve just spent tons of time liking them for entries. When I like a blog, I don’t want to miss a thing. I really believe these big giveaways have become too common and no one is really winning anymore – meaning that the bloggers are losing loyal readers because they don’t see their posts anymore and fans think their blog giveaways aren’t worth entering anymore because the chances of winning are so low. Wouldn’t it be better to have loyal readers who participate than just large numbers that don’t contribute at all? Small prizes give fans the same winning “rush” as big prizes and you get to spread the love out more often with less work for you and the fans. Please don’t take these comments as a criticism. I just really wonder if bloggers know what some of us are really thinking about these huge giveaways.

Hi Jill, Thank you for your feedback. I always try to bring my readers the chance to enter great giveaways and share your concerns about large group giveaways. I sometimes enter other blogs’ giveaways and get annoyed for all the same reasons you stated. Group giveaways are definitely becoming the trend.
The Blogfest giveaway (the post we are currently commenting on) is part of an effort to raise awareness about diabetes in honor of Melynda Fleury. The reason I posted this huge group giveaway was to support a worthy cause, plus it gives my readers the chance to enter a giveaway AND get the link to 10 FREE book downloads (even if they don’t win the grand cash prize). There are so many bloggers listed on the form because we all wanted to show our support for the cause. I did not have any input into how the entry form was created, but I do realize it takes forever to load on the page and I apologize.
I certainly don’t mean to turn off any of my loyal blog readers, because if I lose those, then why should I even blog anymore? I’ll definitely take your feedback into consideration. Thank you for taking the time to express your opinion. I hope that you will remain a fan and find value in the product reviews, giveaways and other blog posts that are published on Mom Always Finds Out. I just wanted you to know I got your comment and I AM listening! – Nicole
