I recently got hair extensions and plan to take care of my newly long locks like never before! I love the summer sunshine and swimming pools, but know they can damage hair. A couple of my favorite products from Brazilian Blowout have already been helping me fight the frizz. I received these products for my honest review, and all opinions expressed are based on my personal experiences.
Since serums and creams can weigh down your hair, switch to a dry oil this summer. Acai Brazilian Dry Oil ($26) can go on damp or dry hair. It is INSTANTLY absorbed and immediately adds moisture to dry ends. I use a small amount of Acai Brazilian Dry Oil on my “crunchy” ends to make them soft and smooth again.
Don’t let the word “oil” fool you. The Acai Brazilian Dry Oil is not greasy at all. Perfect for all hair types. You can even apply it to damp hair and reduce drying time.
The key to keeping my hair happy is conditioning. The Acai Deep Conditioning Masque ($40) is an intensive moisturizing treatment that smooths and strengthens hair. A couple of times per week, I put this on my hair and leave it in overnight. The next morning, I rinse it out in the shower and my hair feels silky soft.
If you swim in salt or chlorine water, your hair can easily become damaged. This deep conditioning masque is the perfect way to treat and repair your hair. You don’t have to leave it in as long as all night, but I love the results, and all I have to do is sleep while it works moisture magic on my hair.
Both the Acai Brazilian Dry Oil and the Acai Deep Conditioning Masque protect hair from harmful UVA/UVB rays and are safe for color-treated hair. Brazilian Blowout products are not tested on animals.

I have super curly and super frizzy hair. It is tough to find products that work so I usually stick to the ones I know work. These products sound like they are worth trying though.

I know you have all kinds of time on your hands, LOL, but would love to read about your experience getting hair extensions. Good for you! I desperately need some deep conditioning for my hair without breaking the bank. Not so much due to the climate or chlorine, but due to medications. Perhaps a masque is the way to go for me. Not aware of this brand but will ask about it when I get my hair cut next. Take care of those locks!

Hey Robin! I would love to tell you about my hair extensions. Do you have any specific questions? I don’t know when or if I will get around to blogging about it with all the craziness of summer – but I always have time to give feedback without the pressure of writing a blog post. My hair is very prone to get frizzy in the humidity. I would love to use a very simple solution to keep my hair pliable and still retain that non-greasy look! I’ve never heard of the Brazilian Blowout brand, just the procedure! The deep conditioning masque is something I’d be willing to try to keep my hair moisturized but not end up with it sticky and full of harsh chemicals! Thanks for the review, I’ll have to find this brand online!

I’ve been using serums for so long, but now I hear that they are not very good for you. I’d love to try the Dry Oil for a change to see if that works the same to tame my frizzies.

I swear by Keratin, I use Paul Mitchell’s Keratin Wild Ginger shampoo and cream rinse, no split ends, and no frizz even without serums!

How nice that you got hair extensions. I bet it makes you feel like you have tons of hair. I dye my hair so this product would be very goo to use on my ends where it is dry. I will have to look for this product, and try it. Thanks.

I really have frizz problems in the humid summertime.
I have tried the Smooth Moves frizz control hair cream from the “Not Your Mother’s” brand, and it works ok. I like the sound of the Brazilian Blowout products though; I’ll check them out on Amazon.com. Thanks!
