A Fun Girls Night In at my Cake Boss Party #CakeBossParty #IC

December has flown by a lot faster than I could ever have imagined it could! Everyone’s calendars are full of special events like choir and band concerts, work parties and holiday shopping. Luckily. some of my favorite people in town were able to come over for a fun Girls Night In Cake Boss Party. My husband took the boys out for the evening so my friends and I would have the house all to ourselves.

Cake Boss sent me many exciting packages full of Cake Boss products. I unpacked them all and was surrounded by so many cake mixes, spatulas, fondant, and cake decorating supplies that I actually considered starting my own bakery! Truly, I had everything I needed to host the perfect cake decorating party with my friends.

A day ahead of time, I held a Cake Bake-a-Thon all by myself — I needed several cakes baked and ready to go for the #CakeBossParty. I used 9-inch Cake Boss cake pans and Flower Cakelette Pans to bake cake after cake. I texted a friend to tell her that although my kitchen looked like a disaster area, my house smelled heavenly. Imagine the sweetest most delicious cake scent – that’s what my house was like.

The Cake Boss Divine White cake mixes are made with a pouch of Real Custard Creme that goes into the mix. The cakes turn out so soft and moist. There is no doubt in my mind this is the best cake mix I have ever used.

Once my cakes were cooled, I put them all in the freezer until Cake Boss Party time. I am no expert cake person, but I do find it is much easier to put icing on cakes when they are frozen. Cakes will thaw very quickly – so don’t take them out until you are ready to work on them.

The night of the party, my friends arrived and immediately got put to work putting the crumb coat of icing on the first cake!

I had never in my life used cake fondant. My previous experience with fondant is limited to watching Cake Boss episodes. I was really excited – and so were my friends – to learn how to decorate a cake with fondant. None of us had ever done anything like this before. There was no pressure – our Cake Boss Party was all about having fun no matter what our cakes ended up looking like!

The fondant transfer was a successful move! Now we use the Cake Boss Fondant Smoother – very handy tool for smooth fondant.

My main takeaway from our Cake Boss Party is that FONDANT IS FUN! I don’t know why I was so intimidated to try it. Everyone at the party agreed that even though fondant takes a little practice, it is a lot easier than we ever would have thought. We all want to make more fondant cakes in the future.

Cake Boss premade Fondant makes it easy for anyone to use fondant. All we had to do was roll it out with a rolling pin and it was ready to go on the cake. The Fondant Smoother was a surprisingly useful tool to help us get a smooth look. A Fondant Roller is a must for cutting neat edges along the cake bottom. The Fondant Ribbon Cutter set turns fondant into beautifully-edged ribbons.

I had never owned a cake Decorating Turntable until now. At the party, we all found out just how handy a turntable could be when it came time to put decorative icing on the cake. The cake can be spun around while the decorator works. The Cake Boss 24 Piece Decorating Tip Set is everything anyone could want for icing options.

We finished our cake masterpieces and it was time for everyone to pack up their cakes and head home. I overheard two of my teenage party guests making plans to host their own Cake Boss Party with friends during the holiday break. That alone made me feel like the party was a success! I am so happy everyone, including myself, had a very good time and wanted to do it again.

On to the next cake of the night!

Thanks to Cake Boss’ generosity, I was able to send everyone home loaded down with Cake Boss goodies. I think the girls will be off to a good start for when they have their own #CakeBossParty.

A Girls Night In Cake Boss Party is one of the best ideas I have ever done for fun with my friends. We all had a great time helping each other work on cakes. All of the night’s cakes were a team effort!

The next day, I sent a slice of cake to school in my 10-year-old son’s lunch. The very first thing he said to me when I picked him up from school was: Mom, you need to tell your friends to come over and bake more cakes! That was the BEST CAKE EVER. 

I would love to get a copy of the book, Baking with the Cake Boss to get inspired by Buddy’s cake decorating ideas. Plus, now that I have all the Cake Boss cake decorating supplies, I need to know all of his cake baking and decorating secrets. My kids love when I make themed birthday cakes for them. I learned so much about cake decorating at my Cake Boss party that their next birthday cakes are going to be the best ever!

A Cake Boss party is a great way to enjoy bonding time with family and friends. Plus, you end up eating lots of delicious cake. Could life get any sweeter?
