Cranium Brain Breaks is listed as one of the Hot Toys for Christmas 2011. My family was fortunate to get this game for review.
First of all, my kids went wild over it before we had even opened it up. You know why? Because the game itself comes in a big purple brain-shaped storage container! When we opened the lid of the brain, we saw all of the game components, which include fun stuff like clay, a minute-glass timer, colored dice, sketch pad and game cards.
Cranium Brain Breaks game cards give you more than 200 that can last up to one minute each. The first person or team to win 4 games is declared the champion. The game activities include questions and tasks that involve sculpting, drawing, acting, spelling, guessing answers and more. Since each one lasts only 60 seconds at most, the game is fairly fast paced. One reason this is such a great game is that it can pretty much last as long (or as short) as you want. Family Game Night in 15 minutes or less is definitely possible with Cranium Brain Breaks.
My family played the game and I think my 8-year-old would have kept on and on playing if we hadn’t all eventually had to quit on him – it was bedtime! We really liked all the fun tasks, guessing games, and trivia. All of us had a lot of fun with the game. Cranium Brain Breaks is a game we all want to play again.
I recommend that you consider adding Cranium Brain Breaks to your Family Game Night collection. Recommended for ages 8 and up. 2 or more players.

So far it’s risk. Our baby is a bit too little for them and my nephew who lives with us doesn’t really like board games. Hoping to change that, but don’t have a budget for it.
