It has been a minute since I have shared a favorite cleaning product. DIY Dawn Power Wash is something I use ALL. THE. TIME. every single day to clean all sorts of things around the house.
DIY Dawn Power Wash dish spray makes washing the dishes a whole lot easier. But did you know you can use it for a lot of other household cleaning tasks?

Ways To Use Dawn Power Wash
From the first time I used it, I loved the original Dawn Power Wash formula. It seemed like there was no surface it couldn’t clean! It went beyond the kitchen dishes to my wiping counters, stove tops, and even pre-treating laundry stains.

I went through bottles fairly quickly. And the Dawn Power Wash bottles are so pleasant to use with their continuous spray (like an aerosol can, but it is NON-Aerosol.)

How To Make It
Never run out of Power Wash again! I saved the empty PowerWash bottles so I could refill them with a homemade Dawn Power Wash recipe.

NOTE: If you don’t have an empty Dawn Power Wash spray bottle to refill, you can use misting spray bottles. These bottles have a continuous spray action similar to the power wash bottle.

The ingredients in this homemade cleaner are easy to find. One bottle of each will make multiple refills of this recipe. It is very cost-effective to make your own power wash solution.

I use Distilled Water instead of regular tap water in homemade Dawn Power Wash. Distilled water is better for cleaning because it will not leave behind any residue the way tap water often does.
Dawn Dishwashing Liquid is the star of the recipe. This gives the cleaning power of Dawn to our homemade version. You can even use Unscented Dawn if you prefer it.
Rubbing Alcohol is used to add a bit of disinfecting powers. Use 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for the best germ-killing results.

if I can’t use or find 70% can I use 50% instead
Nicole says
Yes, you can use the 50%. However, for the best results the 70% alcohol is recommended for cleaning surfaces. But, I would use 50% if that was all I could find to see how it goes. I think it is worth a try. Thank you for stopping by, I hope that helps. –Nicole at Mom Always Finds Out
