You’ll Love These Ideas For Epsom Salts Uses
It’s time to treat yourself to an at-home Spa Day. Taking care of yourself with DIY spa treatments does not have to be expensive. Some of my favorite at home beauty treatments cost pennies. I’m serious! Check out these amazing Epsom Salts uses for beauty with Epsom Salt benefits you’ll love.
The secret to affordable at home spa treatments starts with Epsom Salts. It is sold in several pound bags at grocery stores and even drugstores. If you can’t find it there, you can have them delivered to your door when you buy Epsom Salts on Amazon.
I usually buy the plain kind of Epsom Salts, but I also enjoy using the kinds that already have essential oils in them like Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salts: Soothe and Sleep (with Lavender) or Relax and Relieve (with Eucalyptus and Spearmint.)
Epsom Salts are a wonderful way to enjoy at-home spa treatments anytime. They can be used for a wide variety of DIY beauty treatments, including: relaxing bathtub soaks, skin exfoliating treatments, micro-dermabrasion facials, and rejuvenating foot scrubs.
Glowing skin exfoliating treatment: Mix 2 cups of Epsom Salt with 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Use the mixture to gently scrub away dry skin patches. Benefits: Epsom Salts gently exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and naturally cleanse skin.
Microdermabrasion Facial: Mix 1/2 TSP of Epsom Salt into cleansing cream for a deep-pore cleansing. Massage on skin, rinse with cool water and pat dry. Benefits: Epsom Salts gently exfoliate dead skin cells.
Pedicure Perfection: Dissolve a half cup of Epsom Salt into two quarts of warm water. Pour the water into a container and soak your bare feet for 15 to 20 minutes. For an extra treat, add a few drops of eucalyptus oil for a refreshing scent. Massage the entire foot with Epsom Salt, concentrating on the heels and ankles to remove any dry, rough spots. Then rinse your feet with clean tap water and dry them thoroughly. Epsom Salt Foot Soak Benefits: Epsom Salts slough off dead, callused skin, soften the skin and help get rid of foot odor.
Bathtime bliss: Add two cups of Epsom Salt to the water in a standard-sized bathtub and soak for at least 12 minutes. For an extra treat, add a few drops of eucalyptus oil for a refreshing scent. Benefits: Epsom Salt baths can relieve muscle tension, pain, and inflammation in joints. They can also help relieve headaches and abdominal cramps.

Epsom Salts are one of the main ingredients in homemade fizzy bath bombs! I love to make these for myself and to give as gifts. See my blog post for how to make Lemon-Vanilla bath bombs (big round ones like they sell at LUSH).

I’ve been using Epson Salt on my face for almost 7 years. I put it on with cold cream/water. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Then slowly exfoliate while rinsing off. It softens, gives my skin a dewy/glowing look, deep cleans, and shrinks pores. I’m not lying when people always tell me I look younger than I am for my age. Granted I’m 26, but enough have said I look 19. I do it a few times a week.

I bought epsom salts because I get stressed and someone recommended a night time bath with them. Oh man, I could hardly walk up the stairs; those salts are like sleeping tablets. And my skin was baby soft. I’m hooked! Thanks for the tips on how to use them in other ways 🙂

Soaking in an epsom salt bath is good for sore muscles and joints. I’ve never thought of using it on my dry, rough feet though!I should take some time to do that soon.
