A Sequel To Disney/Pixar’s Finding Nemo? Yes, It’s True!

The long-awaited sequel to the 2003 Disney/Pixar Oscar-winning film Finding Nemo was just announced! Finding Dory will be diving into theaters everyone on November 25, 2015.

Word on the street is that Ellen DeGeneres (voice of Dory) is thrilled that the sequel is finally becoming a reality.

I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” said DeGeneres. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.

According to director Andrew Stanton, Finding Dory picks up the story about a year after the first film, and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life.

Dory was such a fun lovable character. I am glad that they have made a movie centered on her.

We are so happy the are making this film. I saw Ellen talking about it on her show and she is really excited to start on it. Even though my kids are older now, they both said we have to go see that movie. Yeah a family movie we can all see together!

Finding Nemo was so good! Ellen DeGeneres is hysterical, so I bet she’ll be great.
Too bad we have to wait until November. I hope we get some previews before then!

So happy! Dory was the best thing in the original. Can’t wait to see what new sea creatures they include! I only wish they could’ve made an “A Bug’s Life”2 before Joe Ranft passed away. He was Heimlich the Caterpillar, my favorite.
