Mom Always Finds Out is excited to be part of the Tom’s of Maine #GoodnessCircle blogger program, and may receive free products and/or compensation for participation. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
School may be out for the summer, but Tom’s of Maine supports students all year long! The Tom’s of Maine and DonorsChoose.org Green Your School Fund will give $1 million dollars to support environmental education in classrooms nationwide. Parents, tell your teachers about the #GreenSchoolFund program so they can submit and secure funding for their classroom project.
Since 2016, Tom’s of Maine Green Your School Fund has reached nearly 300,000 students across the nation. That’s an amazing number of students in such a short time. Let’s keep the momentum going and see how many students this program can reach this year.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Educators: Visit www.GreenSchoolFund.com and submit environmental projects through DonorsChoose.org. YES, teachers can submit projects now and over the summer.
- Tom’s of Maine will automatically match every citizen donation to qualifying projects.
- Once projects are fully funded, supplies are sent straight to the school to make the project a reality.
Parents: Get involved by sharing the program with your teachers. Help them discover how easy it is to submit and secure funding for their project. Simply click to share the program with friends and teachers on Twitter, Facebook and email.
Visit the Green School Fund website to see past project submissions and get inspiration for your classroom. Qualifying projects teach students about sustainability, environmental consciousness, and the science of our environment.
That Time Our Teachers Went BIG For Environmental Education
One of the coolest experiences my child has done at school was to go on an overnight field trip to Arches National Park. We live in Utah, so it is only a few hours away. For a whole year, the 4th grade students (and parents) worked hard to raise money to go on this field trip. At Arches, students hiked to amazing places and learned from Park Ranger about the unique geology of the area. All the kids came home with a greater appreciation of our awesome planet.
I think a field trip like this would be a perfect classroom project submission for the Green School Fund. It would have been so wonderful to have our donations matched by Tom’s of Maine.
I buy Tom’s of Maine products because my family loves using natural personal care products that work. My tween son recently started using Tom’s of Maine Wicked Cool Kids Deodorant. Let me tell you, I have never seen a kid prouder of how good his armpits smell these days. Wicked Cool Kids Deodorant is a natural deodorant made for boys and girls ages 8 and up. Your kid will love using it and they will smell better, too!
Another great reason I buy Tom’s of Maine is because they donate 10% of profits back to helping people and the planet. Ten percent!!! That’s a lot! When you choose Tom’s of Maine, you help create the $1 million fund to make schools sustainable through DonorsChoose.org.
