3 tips to make packing a healthy school lunch a breeze (So easy, the kids can do it!)

I pack my kids’ lunches for school every day – and I know some mornings we are super rushed to get out the door on time. I am always looking for easy healthy school lunch ideas. Last week, I was out of town and left my husband in charge of packing lunch boxes. I knew he would not have a lot of extra time in the morning, so I left a helpful list of instructions to make their lunches faster and easier.

1. Refill water bottles the night before. Doing this saves me at least a couple minutes in the morning.

2. Pack nonperishable snacks into the lunchbox the night before. This saves you from spending extra minutes digging around the in pantry, looking for granola bars and such for snack time.

3. In the mornings, grab an Applegate HALF TIME™ pre-packed lunch kit from the fridge, stick it in a lunchbox and GO!

The Applegate Organic lunch kits contain three of my most trusted natural and organic brands: Stonyfield, Annie’s and Applegate. It is a Mom’s Dream Team of quality lunch foods. The HALF TIME™ lunch kit takes all the things I used to have to buy separately and conveniently puts them all into one place. I know my kids are eating healthy lunch foods, and that makes #LunchingAwesome.

HALF TIME™ includes Applegate natural meats and cheeses, which have no artificial ingredients or preservatives, and are antibiotic- and hormone-free, Annie’s Homegrown crackers and snacks, and Stonyfield Organic YoKids Squeezers.

Instagram lunchbox moments! How do you make your child’s lunch special? From sending lunchbox notes to including a special treat, share your #LunchingAwesome pictures on with Applegate on Instagram.

I have not tried these before. I live in Oregon and maybe I just don’t see them around. I will have to look for them. They have some healthier choices that is nice. I see you can ask them questions and concerns on their site too.
