Holiday Travel Tips From Earth’s Best Organic Baby Food & a **Giveaway!**

December 16, 2011 by Nicole

The holidays are the time of year when we load our families into the car for long winter treks to visit loved ones.  Road trips can be a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your children.  Think of how happy your little ones will be when they realize they have mom and dad’s undivided attention!

Earth’s Best shares some holiday travel tips and ideas for on-the-go fun (my own input appears in the parentheses):

  • Get a good song book with all the lyrics. (If you are looking for a CD with classic children’s songs, a couple ideas are: Car Ride Fun and Toddler Favorites. These can also be downloaded to your MP3 player.)
  • Rest Stop Athletics. Keep a frisbee or jump rope in the back of your van, along with a picnic blanket so when you stop at a rest area, everyone can run and be free and stretch their legs. (Be sure to include time for regular rest stops in your travel plans. We try to stop once per hour on trips with our kids. These short breaks really saves everyone’s sanity.)
  • Pipe Cleaner Creatures. Use fuzzy pipe cleaners to create all kinds of creatures that kids can also use for creative play. This activity can keep kids busy at the airport, on the plane or even when you get to your destination! (I will have to try this – sounds like a wonderful, mess-free activity perfect for the car.)

Quick, portable, mess-free snacks are a crucial ingredient for making holiday travel with children easier.  Earth’s Best Sunny Days Snack Bars are made from organic wheat flour and fortified with calcium, iron, zinc and six B Vitamins. These cereal bars are wholesome to eat and perfect for growing kids who snack on the run. They contain no hydrogenated oil, trans saturated fats, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives and come in fruit flavors.  The new organic Pop Snax come in Veggie and Sweet Potato Apple Cinnamon flavor varieties. These air-popped rice and potato snacks are perfectly packaged for travel in canisters and single-serve bags.

Earth’s Best GIVEAWAY!
