SLIDE into Summer fun with Little Tikes! Best Toys for Summer

I am a lifelong fan of Little Tikes. I have many fond memories of playing at my childhood picnic table. The picnic table was one of the first Little Tikes toys I got for my own kids. Another classic is the Little Tikes slide. If was making a list of the Little Tikes toys kids can enjoy for the longest period of time, a slide would be right at the top.

My kids have had a few of the Little Tikes slides over the years. The only reason we part with them is because we are moving and can’t take them with us. Like all Little Tikes products, the slides are extremely durable and seem like they will last forever, regardless of being used indoors or outdoors.

The Easy Store Large Play Slide is one we enjoy outside in the warm months, and inside for the cold ones. The 5-foot-long slide is a the perfect size to be enjoyed by kids ages 2-6 years old. (Even though my 10-year-old plays on it every now and then, too!)

Little Tikes Slide Toy

My younger boys (ages 3, 4 and 6) can spend hours playing on the slide. They especially love to get on their swimsuits and turn the hose on at the top of the slide, creating their own water slide. I didn’t include any pictures of them doing this and do not recommend you try this at home, because Little Tikes does not recommend using the slide while it is wet for safety reasons. But, boys will be boys and that’s how they play at our house.

Kids will love to climb and slide over and over again. Mine play on their slide every single day. It is sturdy and stable. My 3- and 4-year-old will get at least 2 to 3 more years of active play out of this slide.

The Easy Store Large Play Slide comes in a huge cardboard box (also fun for the kids to play with) and needs to be assembled. I have said it before and will say it again, I am horrible when it comes to assembling toys. BUT the Easy Store Slide is one of the easiest things I have ever assembled. It only took me about 15 minutes to do all by myself and the only special tool required is a hammer – and that was used very minimally. So don’t sweat the assembly. It’s fast and easy! Plus, it can be taken apart for easy storing and travel.
