Easy Back To School Recipes: No Bake Granola Bars & Smoothies #BTSIdeas #shop

Our mornings just got a whole lot busier now that the kids have gone back to school. My kids don’t always have time to eat breakfast at home. I know the first meal of the day is an important one, and I don’t want them to skip it. I often shove food into their hands on our way out the door so they can eat breakfast in the car. Does this ever happen at your house? Nestle Brands helps busy families like mine find ways to enjoy quick and easy meals, especially at breakfast time.

A couple of my personal favorite Nestle solutions are Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder Drink Mix and Nestle Coffee-Mate Liquid Coffee Creamer. A Carnation Breakfast Essentials drink mix packet is super fast to make! Simply mix it with cold milk for a complete nutritional drink. It’s a delicious way to get important nutrients like protein, calcium, and 21 vitamins and minerals.

Another way I like to serve Carnation Breakfast Essentials drink mix to my family is in an easy banana and yogurt smoothie. Sometimes I make the smoothies ahead of time, put them into individual silicone serving sleeves and freeze them. That way, we always have something nutritious that we can simply grab and go. We especially love the Rich Chocolate flavor variety. I think it is impossible to go wrong when you combine chocolate and bananas…yum!

Make a quick and easy Chocolate Banana Smoothie by putting 1 frozen banana (cut into chunks), 1 packet of Carnation Breakfast Essentials Rich Chocolate drink mix, and 1 cup Vanilla Yogurt into your blender. Blend until creamy, then serve!

Did you know that coffee creamers are not just for coffee? Creamers make flavorful additions to all sorts of recipes. I bought the Nestle Coffee Creamer in Coconut Creme flavor to use in my homemade granola bar recipe.

If there is one thing my family eats a lot during the school year, it is granola bars. I decided to play around with one of my no bake granola bar recipes to include a super secret flavor ingredient: Nestle’s Coconut Creme Liquid Coffee Creamer. These No Bake Chocolate-Almond-Coconut Granola Bars are so easy to make. My kids eat them for morning and afternoon snacks. They aren’t just for the kids, either. I love to eat them, too!

I love using Instant Breakfast in my smoothies, but I am totally going to use it to enhance granola bars. What a great idea!

These bars sound delicious I will have to try making time sometime. I bring my son’s breakfast to preschool with him.
