If there’s anything I have learned being a mom to four boys, it’s that any stick can become a pretend sword and any surface can become a race car track. Kids have such great imaginations. I love to encourage their creative play. We are excited to partner with InRoad Toys to show off how we use Play Tape.
Play Tape is a fun way for kids to turn a room into a world of endless city streets and race tracks. No scissors necessary. The tape is easy to use by tearing off a piece and sticking it down wherever you want the road to go. If your child has toy cars, they need Play Tape!
Hot Wheels® Play Tape is now available in Orange and Blue race track colors!
When the racing fun is done, you can leave the Play Tape in place for another day or peel it up to remove and throw away. Play Tape comes up easily without leaving any sticky residue behind.
Clean, flat surfaces work best for Play Tape roads. My kids usually use the race tape on the laminate floor. We have also put race track tape on the walls and countertops! Play Tape can be stuck just about anywhere.

Play Tape Race Track Craft
My son’s room is carpeted, but he likes having a sturdy play surface for his cars to roll on. I solved the issue by turning a piece of foam board into a race track with the Play Tape. Even a sturdy piece of cardboard would work great for a temporary play surface like this. The best part is that the foam board is lightweight, portable and easy to store out of the way when he is finished playing.
How We Did It: Use your favorite Play Tapes to create a street design and/or race track on a piece of foam board. You could even do a different design on the other side. Kids can then use the race car play board in any room, even on carpets and rugs. Once they are finished playing, slide the play board behind a dresser or under the bed for safe out-of-the-way storage until next time they are ready to use it.
I think this would be a fun race car party activity. Let older kids use Play Tape to design their race car track on a foam board. Younger kids would need your help, or you could prepare theirs for them ahead of time. Let the kids take their foam board race tracks home with a Hot Wheels car as race car party favors.
Award-winning Play Tapes, including new Hot Wheels Play Tapes, are available online at InRoad Toys and in stores nationwide at Toys “R” Us and Hobby Lobby (MSRP $4.99-5.99.)

Do I have to buy circular pieces to make curves or is there a way to do it using only the roll of road tape please help I want to set up a track on the wall of my girlfriends new house for her 2 year old son who has autism but he shares my passion for cars and I love him to death and treat him like a son even though he isn’t mine but he calls me dada and it melts my heart

Hi Joshua, It is easier to make real curves using the curve tape pieces, but if you don’t care how perfect the road looks, you could probably use scissors to cut the regular track tape and make it curve. That is so sweet you want to set up the track for your girlfriend’s little boy. I am sure he will love it!
Good luck, I hope that helps you out. –Nicole

What I like about the track tape is the designs are limitless. They can have a huge track if they have the room or just a small if space is limited. They are able to design any style of track they like, make it unique & their own. It lets their imaginations go wild. Such a creative outlet for all kids, boys AND girls. When I was a kid, I would play hours on hours with my brother & his Hot Wheels and Lincoln Logs. I had a blast!! So I know the kids today will love this track tape..

It is small enough to carry from room to room or while leaving the house without hauling a cumbersome track around. It is much easier for the kids to put together without help. It is stick-free.

I like that it’s safe for floors, walls, and furniture, and peels up easily with no residue.
