5 Amazing Things To Do on Vacation in Puerto Rico

December 18, 2013 by Nicole 10 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

How does a relaxing vacation to a world class island destination sound right now? It sounds amazing to me! And let me assure you, my travel research on Puerto Rico has shown this place to be nothing short of spectacular. I read tons of Trip Advisor reviews to find out what real people have to say about the attractions. The Puerto Rico Tourism has even partnered with Trip Advisor to turn those reviews into stunningly beautiful short films narrated by Puerto Rican stars.

The All-Star Island welcomes all sorts of travers: foodies, golfers, beach bums and adventure seekers. There is something for everyone. No need for a passport or foreign money. Just hop on a plane and go!

6 Amazing Things To Do on Vacation in Puerto Rico

Flameno Beach in Culebra:

Puerto Rico offers 270 miles of coastline and is often featured as Travel Channel’s Top 10 Beaches. Flamenco Beach in Culebra is known as one of the best beaches in the world!

Bioluminescent Bays:

There are only 5 bioluminescent bays in the entire world. Three of them can be found in Puerto Rico. These glowing bays provide a magical experience you cannot miss.

El Yunque:

El Yunque is the only rainforest managed by the US National Parks system. Visit here and climb to the clouds!

San Juan:

History buffs will be completely taken with this charming city.

Camuy Caverns:

Take an adventure through this cave system that runs through the 3rd largest subterranean river system in the world.

And when hunger or thirst gets the best of you, enjoy the many Puerto Rican delicacies and famous Rums! If golf is your game, you could not ask for a better destination than Puerto Rico. The near-perfect weather, amazing views and well-manicured golf courses make Puerto Rico an ideal choice for golfers from around the world.

I would love to go to the Cavers and to San Juan in January when it is so cold out to get away and go to Puerto Rico where it is so warm. The beaches are so pretty, and the lodging is not expensive! Someday I will go here!
