Scent Your Home Naturally with an Essential Oil Diffuser

December 18, 2013 by Nicole 41 Comments

Mom Always Finds Out received Puritan’s Pride products mentioned in this blog post for my consideration and review. All opinions expressed are my own. The sponsor is responsible for giveaway prize fulfillment.

Essential oils are a cost-effective and natural way to scent your home. I have found that the easiest way for me to use essential oils to add fragrance is by using an essential oil diffuser. Puritan’s Pride recently sent their aromatherapy plug-in diffuser. The ScentBall is a warming device that plugs into any electrical outlet. All I have to do is add 5-10 drops of my favorite essential oil or blend onto the reusable pad and insert it into the diffuser. Within minutes, the scent fills the room.

The Lavender, Eucalyptus and Peppermint Essential Oils I received for review are wonderful. These essential oils are some of my favorites and quite useful in many ways. I would definitely recommend adding them to your EO collection. I have used all three of these in my diffuser. I especially love diffusing Lavender at bedtime to help me relax. Peppermint is a peppy holiday scent, perfect for parties this time of year.

Quick Essential Oil Tips and Uses for the Holidays:

Before your holiday party: Add a couple of drops Peppermint Essential Oil to the inside of your toilet paper roll. Every time it spins, your bathroom will be filled with peppermint scent!

After your holiday party: Add 6-8 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to running bath water. Soak and enjoy the holiday stress release.

For the Jet Lagged Holiday Traveler: Add 5-10 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil to diffuser. Eucalyptus EO helps wake up your body.

A new (to me) Puritan’s Pride product I tried is the Wonder Oil. This bottle is a blend of oils and citrus-y EO scents. So far, I have used it in place of my lotion, as a skin softener in the bathtub and as a hot oil treatment for my hair. It can also be used as a cuticle and massage oil. I’m sure it has a lot more uses that I just haven’t thought of yet.

How do you scent your home? Have you ever used Essential Oils? What are your favorite Essential Oils?

Puritan’s Pride is currently having an amazing sale on Essential Oils (Buy One, Get One Free!) and other Aromatherapy products. It’s a great time to shop Puritan’s Pride.

Greatly loved Aromatherapy! It essential oil has a cooling, anesthetic quality because of its high menthol content. It can make your skin feel chilly or cool when applied during massage.
