If I were to make a resume listing all of my previous jobs, I would be able to show off quite the eclectic collection. One of my random past jobs includes being a vet tech. I love animals and was really excited to work at a veterinary clinic. I suppose I thought I would get to play with cute puppies all day long. That was not part of the job description. At all.
My job included the fun pooper scooper tasks, washing pets’ bedding, carting around EKG machines, taking X-rays, cleaning dogs’ teeth, and a variety of other animal related tasks that looking back, I can’t believe I actually did since I had no idea what I was doing.
The vet tech job did not pay well and had terrible hours, not to mention one of my bosses was totally lame. I love animals, but quickly found a different job that worked better for me.
