Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe
Chicken noodle soup is one of my very favorite kinds of soup. It’s also one of the easiest homemade soups, especially if you use a slow cooker. Chicken, broth and veggies simmer together all day, and the egg noodles go in about 20 minutes before you’re ready to eat.
Don’t wait until you have a cold or the flu to make this chicken noodle soup! Although, I have to admit, this soup is the perfect thing to eat to help you feel better. The main ingredients: Chicken, carrots, onions, and celery, all have immunity-boosting antioxidants. I love to garnish my bowl of chicken soup with a big handful of cilantro, another big antioxidant booster.

This easy slow cooker chicken noodle soup recipe is the only one you need to get you through the winter season. Make it with homestyle egg noodles for a delicious homemade chicken soup that will have everyone coming back for seconds.

- 2 lb Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 8 cups Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Carrots, chopped to 1/4 inch pieces
- 1 cup Celery, chopped to 1/4 inch pieces
- 1 cup Sweet Onion, chopped fine
- 1 Garlic Clove, minced
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 8 ounces Homestyle Egg Noodles, uncooked
- Fresh Cilantro optional: for garnish
- Add broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaves, salt and pepper to slow cooker. Place chicken breasts in slow cooker and cover with lid.
- Cook on low setting 6 to 8 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove bay leaves from slow cooker and discard. Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred into bite size pieces. Meanwhile, add egg noodles to the slow cooker and cook with the lid on for 20 minutes until they are tender.
- Add shredded chicken to the soup. Stir well and serve. Optional: Garnish with fresh cilantro.
