Are you looking for a fun family activity? Have a fondue party! Fondue parties are a fun way to enjoy a night in with friends and family. Everyone always has a lot of fun dipping foods into the community fondue pot. Use the chocolate fondue recipe below – it’s one of my family’s favorites.
A fondue pot makes it easy to keep the chocolate fondue warm for long periods of time. However, if you don’t have a fondue pot, don’t worry – you can make the stovetop version of this chocolate fondue recipe. Wooden skewers make a good substitute for fondue forks. Plus, you can use them once and throw them away, which is always a bonus if you are worried about double dippers!
[Tweet “Easy Milk #Chocolate #Fondue #Recipe at @momfindsout”]
- 1 1/4 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 teaspoons Vanilla
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 12 ounces Milk Chocolate (High quality), broken into 1 inch pieces
- Combine all ingredients in a Fondue pot. Heat on the “Warm” setting, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Serve the fondue warm.
If you do not have a fondue pot, you can make do with a saucepan. Use the following directions to make fondue on the stovetop.
Alternate Stovetop Directions:
1. Combine milk, vanilla and butter in a medium saucepan. Bring mixture to a simmer on medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate pieces until they are completely melted and smooth.
2. Transfer mixture to a serving bowl and serve immediately, while fondue is warm.
