School is back in session, which means I’m back to packing lunches for the kids. My third child just started Kindergarten, so now I’m up to making three lunches every day. It really isn’t so bad, especially when I make a weekly meal plan. I also use Rubbermaid LunchBlox storage containers because they make it easy for me to send all sorts of school lunch items to school with the kids. Nothing gets crushed or smooshed, and foods stays cool with a reusable Blue Ice® tray.
Each LunchBlox kit includes colorful food storage containers that snap together so they fit neatly in a lunch bag or lunch box. The snap-in Blue Ice® tray keeps lunches chilled.
I send a variety of foods to school with my kids. Some days they bring foods that need to be heated in the classroom microwave. LunchBlox are microwave-safe, so my kids can heat their lunch right in the container. LunchBlox are also 100% BPA free, freezer and dishwasher safe.
5 Days of School Lunch Ideas for Kids with Rubbermaid LunchBlox!
Sometimes I hit a road block trying to come up with ideas for school lunches that my kids will actually eat. It helps me to see what kinds of things other parents send to school with their kids. So I decided to share 5 days of my kids’ lunches with you, to hopefully inspire you with ways to pack your child’s Rubbermaid LunchBlox.
I try to make sure each lunch contains a fruit, a salad or vegetable, whole grains, dairy and a protein. Remember I’m packing lunches for three kids, so there’s no time for fancy cut out shapes or creative food art. I’m keeping it as simple as possible with help from LunchBlox food storage containers.
PS LunchBlox aren’t just for kids! Adults can use LunchBlox containers to help keep track of how much they’re eating. Each container is perfectly portioned with handy measurements on the sides.

I like the flat blue ice, too, Melissa! It doesn’t take up a lot of extra space in the lunchbox, which is great because I usually have it packed to the hilt with lunch food, snacks and a water bottle. LOL

These would come in so so handy, having two kids in school who love containers and these are made especially for them, they would be insanely happy!
Nicole says
This is our 2nd year using these containers, and I have added a couple more kits to our collection for this year. These containers last and last even after a whole school year of being washed in the dishwasher every single day, and are really great for the kids lunches. –Nicole
