Digital cameras just got smarter! The new Samsung Smart Cameras make sharing memorable moments easier than ever! Built-in WiFi connectivity lets you e-mail photos and upload them to Facebook and other social media sites with the touch of a button. You can even send your shots to your smartphone. Best of all, you do not need to be an expert in photography to use it to take amazing photos. Its SMART mode creates beautiful, professional-looking pictures.
I went to Walmart and picked up the Samsung WB200 Wi-Fi digital camera while it was on a recent Rollback price of only $179 (regular price $199). This affordable gadget is going to take lots of summer vacation and staycation photos and videos of my family. The 14.2 megapixel camera with 18x optical zoom is a nice compact camera size; it’s small enough to fit in a pocket and easy to carry anywhere without being a bulky burden. Perfect for anywhere, anytime use!
What I Am Especially Loving About the Samsung Wi-Fi Cameras:
The 3-inch LCD screen is the perfect size for viewing and editing photos. Plus, it’s a Hybrid Touch screen, which means the screen functions like a smartphone. It’s so easy to navigate the different menus and setting with a touch of a button. And you can select the One Touch Shot setting so that you simply tap the screen to take a photo.
This camera can take nice pictures even in low light conditions. The photo of my son (above) was taken without a flash and I have not edited it in any way. He was standing in a shadowy, darkened hallway out of the sun…but you would never know it from the looks of this picture. I was really amazed at how well he shows up in the picture. I can see him better in the picture than I could in real life.
I love this wireless camera that is loaded with SMART features! I have only been using the Samsung WB200 for a couple of days now, and keep figuring out new tricks it can do.
I’m a parent who takes about a million pictures of her kids. It’s important for me to have a camera with me just about 24/7. You never know when a memorable moment is going to happen. And if you are like me, you don’t want to miss any of those moments! My Samsung Smart Camera is ready to take a great shot on the first try. The cutest picture I have taken so far is of my infant niece on her first hike (see below). It was so neat that I could share this photo with my sister by emailing it to her directly from the camera.
My mom lives far away from us, so she and my dad are always asking to see more pictures of the grandkids and what we are doing. I usually have to give the lame-o excuse that “All our good pictures are on our camera and I haven’t downloaded them yet.” And who knows when I will actually take the time to download them. The Samsung WB200 Wi-Fi Camera takes care of that problem since it can wirelessly download photos to my PC and it makes social sharing so easy to do right from the touch screen.
Some of the Other Cool Things You Can Do With This Smart Camera:
- Back up photos wirelessly
- Share shots with your smartphone and tablets
- Upload to Facebook and other social media sites
- Instantly zoom in on the action with Samsung 4.0-72.0mm zoom lens with 18x optical zoom
- Back up photos on the Cloud to free up space
- Take high quality videos
The boys humored me by posing for pictures. I am going to have fun with the camera’s different photo filters. I tested out a few like the Retro and the Fish-Eye. A Retro filter adds brown sepia tones and the Fish Eye filter adds a bulge to the center focal point of a picture. Add a little funkiness to your photos! There are several filters to play with on the Samsung WB200 for all sorts of special effects.

This sounds like just the camera for me. The price is right. I do have one question. Did you have any issues with blurred pictures? I have a dinosaur Kodak and I always have to take so many pics before getting a good one because the button is so darn hard to press. I will def be checking this one out next trip to Wally World!

Hi Robin,
If the kids are moving too fast or won’t sit still when I am trying to get them to let me take a picture, the pic can come out blurry. But I think that would happen no matter what camera I was using. This camera does have an “Action” setting so that you can take pictures of things that are moving. (useful for sports, anything moving, etc.)
I haven’t had any issues with pushing the button on this camera or any delays from the time I push the button to when the picture is actually taken. And this camera has a cool setting where you can just tap on the screen to take the pictures – so you don’t even use a button at all! Yes, definitely check it out next time you are at Wally World! It’s a great digital camera with tons of features for under $200.
I have a dinosaur digital camera we paid a lot for back in the day, and it got to where there would be 5-10 seconds delay before it would take a picture!
