How to make Freckled Strawberry Lemonade

July 21, 2014 by Nicole

This summer, I found the best homemade lemonade recipe. It is so simple to make with freshly-squeezed lemons, sugar and water. My family loves it! You have got to try it.

What could be equally as good as a glass of ice cold lemonade? Strawberry lemonade! You won’t believe how easy it is to get those strawberry “freckles” in your lemonade using frozen strawberries.

How to make freckled Strawberry Lemonade:

Take a cup or so (more if needed) of frozen strawberries out of the bag and set them aside in a bowl. Allow them to thaw completely.

While you wait for your strawberries to thaw, make this lemonade recipe. Once your strawberries have thawed completely, take a fork and mash them up really good.

*Tip: You must use frozen strawberries. Freezing and thawing the strawberries makes them turn mushy – which is a good thing! Fresh strawberries just won’t work the same for this recipe.

Pour a glass of lemonade (don’t forget the ice!) and stir in a few tablespoons of the mashed up strawberries. You can add more or less strawberries to get your drink just the way you like it.

That’s all there is to it! Enjoy your homemade freckled strawberry lemonade.

What is your favorite summer beverage? If you try this strawberry lemonade recipe, I hope you’ll come back and let me know what you think.

This is so easy to make, and you can control the sweetness and amount of strawberries, which I like. Real strawberry lemonade is so good, I need to make it again for us. Hope you and the kids enjoy! -Nicole

Your drink recipe sounds so delicious and I would love to try it. My favorite drink for summer is my Sun Tea. It tastes so good with ice.
