I spend a lot of time outdoors, especially in the summer. My kids love to play in the yard and at the park, and my youngest ones still need constant supervision. It’s all good until I need to get my online work done. I don’t know if you have ever tried to see your computer screen while the sun shines on it, but it used to be impossible for me. The colors fade out and the screen is totally unreadable from any angle.
Then I got the Nokia Lumia 2520. This tablet-sized PC runs Windows 8.1, so it’s the most portable personal computer ever. The 10.1 inch screen is just as easy to view outdoors in broad daylight as it is to view indoors. It has been a real game-changer for me this summer. I can multi-task again!
I love being able to sit outside while my children play AND be able to check my email, write blog posts, surf the Web, tweet and update my Facebook status. The kids are usually ready to go in way before I’m finished playing with my Nokia Lumia 2520!

I love the Nokia Lumia 2520’s ultra bright screen. Images show up in vivid color and high resolution. The Nokia ClearBlack technology reduces glare and adjusts to the surrounding light so you can view the screen, even when you are outdoors. The photo (below) of the Nokia 2520 was taken outside. It’s sitting in my lap while I watch the kids play and plan our next road trip. I really feel a lot more productive now that I can work on my PC anytime, anywhere.
The Nokia 2520 Power Keyboard ($149) is probably the best tablet accessory I have ever owned. If you get the tablet, you will definitely want to get the Power Keyboard to go with it. It’s not just a keyboard, it is a convenient, durable all-around cover/carrying case.
I love being able to touch or type on the Nokia 2520. The Power Keyboard also provides you with an extra 5 hours of battery power, touch pad and 2 USB ports. My battery lasts twice as long thanks to the Power Keyboard. It is worth every penny.
Although I do not currently take advantage of Verizon’s super fast 4G LTE service with this device, it would only cost $10 a month for me to add it to my Verizon MORE plan. I keep my Nokia 2520 tablet connected to the WiFi at my home, and that’s good enough for everyday needs.
The Nokia 2520 also has a 6.7 megapixel camera that can take photos (even in low light) and record HD video. I use my phone or camera to take pictures, so I don’t have much experience using this device for photos. But I like knowing that it can take photos and videos if I ever need it to.
The outdoor readability of the Nokia Lumia 2520’s screen makes it perfect to use at home, at work and on-the-go. It’s an excellent travel companion, especially when combined with the Nokia Power Keyboard.

This is a really nice Nokia Tablet. It has nice screen, and it can really go a long time on 5 hours of battery life. I like the color and I would love to own one of these tablets.
