Since we have no young ‘uns at home – it won’t effect us directly – but my Honey/hubby will still be complaining that as soon as the schools’ out bells start ringing their will be lots of noise, bikes, fun and games on the block and crowds in the parks and at the beach…
But then I’ll reming him how much fun we had in Summer as kids – and how great it is and we’ll feel a little better about it all!

I am looking forward to it in some ways but yet there will be times after a couple weeks, my grandson will be bored. I care for him when his momma is at work and we go to the parks often in the mornings because it gets too hot in the afternoon. Seems all kids are bored after being home a couple weeks. But I am happy that he is thrilled to be out and that he gets to sleep in until he wants to. I’m sure now that school is out for him Thursday, he will be awake at 5 or 6 am. Always how it goes.

I don’t have any little ones in school. This would be for my best friend who teaches third grade. Teachers can be so under appreciated. But my little grand-niece loves to do projects. I used to have a “I read a book” jar for my son. He would put the name of each book he read over the summer in a jar, with how many days it took, and I would give him some money for each one he read! He and I loved it!
Kimberly Schotz says
