The TruKid company was started when a mom, Jennifer Adams Bunkers, recognized the need for all-natural children’s skincare products. I have been lucky enough to try out several of the TruKid products on my own children. We received TruKid Silly Shampoo, Happy Face and Body Lotion, and Helping Hand Wash for our review. The first thing we all noticed were the brightly colored bottles and the cute pictures on the side of each bottle that are perfect for helping non-readers know what each bottle contains. For example, the Silly Shampoo has a picture of a smiley face head with hair sticking out all around, while the Helping Hand Wash has a picture of — you guessed it — a hand!

My kids enjoy using TruKid products because they know it is something special, just for them. And they like the nice citrus-y scent! The favorite product of the bunch was the Helping Hand Wash. Here is a picture of my 3-year-old enjoying washing his hands. I have to admit, he has been a lot more willing to wash his hands now that he has his own fun bottle of hand wash!

The Silly Shampoo does a fine job of washing my boys’ hair (plus makes it smell good afterwards!). There is a TruKid Cool Conditioner that we haven’t tried yet, but is recommended for use along with the shampoo. I could tell that we do need to use a conditioner after we shampoo, so the Cool Conditioner is on our “To Try” list.

The Happy Face and Body Lotion has the same, light citrus scent as the other TruKid products. It works well and complements the other products we reviewed.

I love knowing that my children are clean, smell good, and use all-natural products that are safe for their growing bodies. My experience with the TruKid products and excellent customer service has proven to me that this company truly cares about families and is committed to providing the best products for our children.

TruKid has recently introduced new children’s suncare products: Sunny Days SPF 35+ Water Resistant Stick and Sunny Days SPF 30+ Lotion (including a Sport formula). Although I received a Sunny Days Stick, it hasn’t quite warmed up enough here in Alaska for me to take the kids outside long enough to try it. But with our long summer days fast approaching, I look forward to using TruKid suncare products too!
