I did not know much about the Verizon HopeLine® program until last month. This phone recycling program provides provides financial support to domestic violence organizations across the country. HopeLine recently announced a goal of 1 million phone donations by the end of 2015. I think it is a great cause to support, and want to continue spreading the word about it.
Wanted: Your Used Wireless Phones and Accessories
Donated phones do not have to be Verizon phones. HopeLine collects used phones regardless of the service provider, make, model or technology. The used phones will be refurbished and sold. Verizon Wireless uses the proceeds from the sale of any donated phone to fund non-profit agencies and to purchase other wireless phones for victims of domestic violence. Phones that cannot be salvaged are disposed of in an eco-friendly way. It is okay to donate broken phones.
HopeLine is an award-winning program. You can be sure your donated phones will be refurbished and proceeds will be used to generate funds for various programs to assist victims of domestic violence and the organizations that support them.
Where to Donate Your Used Phones and Accessories:
It’s easy. Just drop off your phone at any Verizon Wireless Store.

What a great way to put an old phone towards a great cause, really cool, and they even take broken ones. Great idea!
