The Secret Weapon For Healthy, Younger-Looking Skin

March 19, 2014 by Nicole

Mom Always Finds Out receive Vitamin C Serum for review purposes. All opinions expressed are my own, based on my personal experiences using the product. This blog post may contain affiliate links.

The older I get, the younger I want to look. I know there’s no Fountain of Youth or magic potion that can take away fine lines and wrinkles, but there is a real all-natural way to help our skin look its best. What’s the secret weapon for healthy, younger-looking skin?

Vitamin C.

Before you go out to buy a case of orange juice, let me clarify a bit. Our skin needs topical Vitamin C. Not the Vitamin C from things we eat or drink (although our body does need Vitamin C for other things – so don’t skip it!). Our skin can benefit from Vitamin C when we actually apply the vitamin directly on our skin. The most potent formula on the market today is SkinPro’s Vitamin C Serum, with a 22% concentration of Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic acid).

SkinPro’s Vitamin C Serum is all-natural and formulated with Ferulic Acid and Vitamin E plus pure hyaluronic acid for moisturizing benefits. It contains no parabens and alcohols.

What does Vitamin C Serum do for your skin?

Answer: A Lot!

Key benefits include:

  • Stimulates collagen production so skin appears younger, firmer and more vibrant
  • Reduces the signs of aging (think: wrinkles) and sun damage
  • Helps your sunscreen do a better job protecting your skin against the sun’s damaging effects

I use the Vitamin C Serum every morning because that is the most effective time to apply it to my skin. That way, it can work all day long to protect my skin. It took me a few weeks to really notice improvement in my skin – and that is completely normal. Some people may not notice results for 6 to 8 weeks. Then again, some people may notice improvement in as little as 2 weeks.

My skin feels firmer where I have been applying the Vitamin C Serum. The serum is easy to dispense from the medical dropper. I try to use just one drop at a time and apply the serum with my fingertips. I usually focus on areas like my middle forehead and under my eyes – those are my fine line areas. I have combination skin, but did not notice any drying effects from the serum. I especially love that the Vitamin C Serum is so super concentrated. Other formulas I have tried have only about half the amount of Vitamin C.

This spring and summer is going to be a great time for me to boost my sunscreen’s power with Vitamin C Serum. It’s like applying a layer of super antioxidant to deflect the damage from UVB and UVA sun rays. I’m out in the sun a lot more often in warm weather and my skin needs the extra protection.

How do you protect your skin from environmental damages like the sun? Have you used a topical Vitamin C? Could Vitamin C become your secret weapon for healthy, younger-looking skin?

I’m a big lover of vitamin c for the skin. Helps to keep a glow to your face. Would love to give this product a try. Vitamin c can be very tricky to deal with when it comes to an active delivery system.

I finally managed to find the right combination of products that will keep my perpetually thirsty skin hydrated but i have some around the eyes reminders of my everlasting search and this seems like an amazing products and its mostly peptide based from what i can see in the product description which is a very good alternative to retinol for us with cranky skin 🙂
Thank you for this lovely giveaway 🙂

I have tried the Elite Serum and LOVE it! I noticed fast results with it, too. I used it on my eye area and even started putting a little dab on the fine lines on my middle forehead. Great results with no irritation whatsoever. Just thought I’d let you know in case you were “on the fence” about trying it.
