I honestly don’t know what I was thinking when I handed him an ice cream cone! LOL

So cute! I bet that was fun to clean! 😛
…I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but I have to say something just in case you don’t know (like I didn’t). The chest clip on a 5-point harness needs to be at arm-pit level when you buckle in your kiddo. If it’s down low like that and you’re in a crash, your child can be ejected or partially ejected from the seat.
I was waiting for someone to mention the car seat clips. I’m not taking it the wrong way – don’t worry. He went through a phase where he would wriggle his arms out of the straps and that was one of my pet peeves about this car seat – it is easy for him to maneuver the clip up and down no matter how much I tightened it. He did finally quit doing that though. But I have had to pull over on many trips when I’d notice he wasn’t harnessed correctly and re-adjust the straps. Thanks for your comment though – I completely agree with what you are saying about car seat safety and definitely don’t recommend anyone allow their child to sit like this when they are driving around because it is extremely unsafe.

Oh, goodness, how frustrating! My son hasn’t reached that phase yet (hopefully he never will *fingers crossed*) and I dread it. What a pain! I know they make products that are supposed to help with that, but I have my doubts. Kids are too darn smart about figuring out how stuff works–a blessing and a curse!
Yes, it would freak me out to look back there and see him with his arms free. Of course, he thought that was funny that he could “escape”. He’s several months older now and can understand better when I say not to do it, so thankfully he has quit.
He is really smart about figuring stuff out – none of my other kids ever even tried stuff that he does. LOL!

I don’t like Brooklyn to have one in the car NOW and she is 8! LOL

LOL! Unfortunately I still let them have them in the car. I always ask for the ice cream in a cup, but it still doesn’t help.

I’m glad he grew out of it for you. 🙂
