Over the past eight weeks, I have been making a conscious effort to try new things as part of the #QuakerUp program. A couple of my family’s goals for the year are to eat a sensible diet and make time for breakfast. We were sent different Quaker products to try and see how they fit into our daily lives.
Quaker Oats are so easy to put into all kinds of recipes. Obviously, there’s oatmeal for breakfast. But not so obvious are the oats in my meatloaf, the oat *flour in my cookies, and the oat-crusted chicken tenders my kids kids love to eat.
*Tip: It’s fast and easy to make your own oat flour. Add Quaker Oats to a blender or food processor and pulse 5-10 times.
My family has gone through a couple containers of Quaker oats in just a few weeks. They add wholesome goodness to foods we normally eat. Oats have always been a pantry staple, but I am using them now more than ever.
I’m not afraid to try new things, and the Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+ helped me find the time to eat a hot breakfast even on busy mornings. I especially love the delicious pieces of real fruit in every cup.
Quaker Real Medleys Warm & Crunchy Granola and Quaker Real Medleys Multigrain Fruit & Nut Bars made breakfast and snack time for all of us a snap. Warm & Crunchy Granola was ready to eat in 25 seconds, and the bars were easy to grab and go.
A real winner (to me) was totally unexpected. In fact, I did a double take on the cereal aisle at my grocery store. I was cruising down the aisle, minding my own business, when I saw a new Quaker brand breakfast cereal. And I love cold cereal…so a box of Quaker Real Medleys Multigrain Cereal came home with me.
I am so glad I tried something (else) new!
Quaker Real Medleys Peach Apple Walnut Multigrain Cereal really makes my day. This is my new favorite cold cereal. There are real pieces of apple and peach, which taste so good along with the crunchy sweet granola clusters, flakes and nuts. I love it so much that I hide it behind other boxes in the pantry so my kids won’t see it and eat it all. I know, I know. Not cool, Mom.
I’m happy that Quaker challenged me to try new things this year. I learned that I feel a lot better when I get daily exercise. My family tries harder to set aside time each morning to eat a sensible breakfast.. Best of all, these changes help give every family member the energy we want to get through our busy day.
I think every one of us will agree that good things can come from branching out. Thank you, Quaker!
