My kids love a game that is all about thinking fast and shouting out questions and clues to each other. Nothing compares to an exciting round of HedBanz™ Electronic to get everyone riled up on family game night. (You don’t really have to shout at each other, it just comes naturally for us when we play games together.)
The object of HedBanz™ Electronic is to figure out what picture card is in your headband before the time is up. There’s 3 awesome ways to play. Players pick a partner, put on a headband, and try to guess what’s in their headband by:
- Asking team members “Yes or No” questions
- Having team members Describe It
- Having team members Act It Out
Everyone has a hilariously good time trying to figure out what picture card is in their headband. There is absolutely no way to play this game without laughing. It simply cannot be done. This game is all about having fun!
Although HedBanz™ Electronic is recommended for players ages 7 and up, even my 5-year-old likes to get in on the action. We don’t mind bending the rules a little bit when he needs help asking questions. The more we play, the more I actually notice all of us getting better at asking deductive questions, giving and acting out the clues.
My 3 older kids are 7, 9 and 12 years old. I think they are right in the target age group for HedBanz™ Electronic. The game challenges their thinking skills, but isn’t too difficult or frustrating for them to play on their own. The picture cards have simple illustrations, so you don’t really even have to be able to read the word to know what the card is about.
No one is too old for a game of HedBanz™ Electronic. I’m an adult, and it is challenging fun for me to play. My kids love for me to play games with them, the sillier we can be together, the better!
HedBanz™ Electronic is a fast-paced game. Each player gets one minute when it’s their turn to be the guesser. The minute goes by quick! There are 3 card categories: Jobs, Animals and Things. You want to be able to ask your team questions as quickly as possible to figure out what’s on the card.
For example, players can ask things like: “Am I food?” “Am I a vegetable?” “Am I ketchup?” Hopefully your questions help you narrow things down before the electronic game host (we named ours “Cool Guy”) says, Time’s Up!
Speaking of Cool Guy, you’ll love having him as an Electronic Host to keep the score and run the timer for you. Cool Guy (aka the Electronic Host) also determines which game mode to play in that round: Ask It, Do It, or Describe It. He likes to keep things exciting, so be sure to pay attention.
HedBanz™ Electronic
Everything you need to play the game can be stored inside the carrying case. It’s really convenient for storage and for travel. The HedBanz™ Electronic game includes: 1 Electronic HedBanz™ Game Unit, 80 Cards, 2 Headbands, and 1 Instruction Guide.
TIP: The game requires 3 AAA batteries, which are not included. Be sure to pick up some batteries to go along with it, or Cool Guy won’t be able to talk.

I like this edition of Headbanz. We had the original one which I thought was even a little difficult for us adults, let alone the kids. This one looks like a lot of fun for both kids and adults.

I’ve never played it before, but I’ve heard my friends rave about it! I was actually thinking about getting it for my kids (3, 5, and 7), but was afraid they might be too young for it. After reading this I think it’s going to go back on the list.

It is a lot of fun. My 5 and 7 year old can play it (the younger one needs a little help but he’s getting better at it.) My 7-year-old got the hang of it pretty fast. I think the hardest one for the younger kids is asking Yes or No questions. So we usually just let them ask whatever they want. We have found that the game isn’t hard to tailor down for the younger kids to be able to play.
Hope that helps!
